APPLICATION

Apply to the affected areas 2-3 times daily, and when itchy if needed for at least 6-8 weeks.

Calmexema is a soothing moisturiser that may assist in the reliefof eczema and dry itchy skin.

WHAT IS CALMEXEMA?

Calmexema is a specially formulated vegetable based moisturiser, using researched and selected ingredients. It contains a balance of essential fatty acid oils, vegetable oils, plant extracts, vitamins, shea butter and essential oils. The ingredients are said to soothe and nourish dry skin, they moisturise and hydrate flaky skin, relieve irritated skin, have anti-inflammatory properties, promote wound healing and skin softening, and have antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal activity. This cream may help give relief to itchy, red, dry and inflamed skin patches, often associated with skin problems like eczema, dermatitis or sensitive skin, sunburn and rashes.

You can use it all over your body and face, just replace your usual moisturiser with Calmessence Calmexema.

HINTS  

I used to put it all over after my bath in the morning, and take a little jar with me. After a few months I needed less of the cream as my skin improved. Before this I  would have to moisturise with other creams every few hours.

Caution: Always test a small patch of skin first and if irritation or allergy occurs stop using immediately.

WHY IT WORKS

The main objectives or goals in eczema management and treatment are;

1. Reduce inflammation and promote wound healing and improve skin turgor/strength and elasticity.
2. Relieve the itch.
3. Moisturise and hydrate dry patches.
4. NUMBER 4 is CRUCIAL and that is to control the microorganisms and bacteria that cause the exacerbations and eczema skin flare ups. When children scratch and itch, with fingernails which always cannot be clean, it is well researched that germs such as staph aureus can enter the broken skin, causing more itching and then scratching, and the cycle continues. The child is normally given antibiotic therapy and maybe a steroid cream. CALMESSENCE CALMEXEMA contains anti-microbial ingredients that are said to inhibit germs such as staph-aureus, streptococci and trichphyton fungi from colonizing on the skin and may break this itch-scratch-infection' cycle and skin flare-ups..

CALMEXEMA helps address all the above goals all in one cream. I have tried other formulas, and they may have had great plant extracts but they were in a mineral based cream, and they never moisturised my skin, they just sat on the surface but underneath my skin was still dry and flaky an hour later. Or they were good emolients and had shea butter etc, but no active ingredients to relieve the itch and redness.

I have incorporated everything I know and have learned, to the best of my knowledge, into one cream and have a formula to assist in the care and relief of the symptoms associated with eczema.
